Red Bull X-Fighters champion Dany Torres scales the Burj Al Arab
The honour of landing on the helipad on top of the luxurious Burj Al Arab hotel in Dubai is exclusive, that’s why the king of Freestyle Motocross, Dany Torres, was given a very warm welcome as he touched down on the roof of the iconic building.
After the tradition of washing with rose water towels and sampling delicious dates, the Spaniard clambered aboard his KTM 250 for a spectacular training run on the same platform 828 metres above the sea, where Roger Federer and Andre Agassi once played their famous vertigo-inducing tennis game and Tiger Woods hit a perfect drive.
“That was my first ever time in a helicopter – and I have never seen such a spectacular hotel. Up here is probably about the most exclusive FMX course on the planet,” smiled Torres. Judging by the pictures it's easy to see why.
