Pack2Go Packers came up with an impressive 91-82 win over Trojans in Class B-C Category of the 3rd PBBL (Pinoy Big Brother League)-Western Union Hard Court Challenge yesterday.

Pack2Go and Trojans were even in the first two quarters, with the latter enjoying a brief lead at the start of the third period.

The Packers, however, slowly built the momentum going into the last few minutes of the third quarter with some fluid ball movement and established an eight-point cushion at 70-62, at the end of the period.

Bobot Faustino, Ron Sanchez and DJ de Jesus kept the momentum going for Pack2Go at the start of the last quarter with a 10-2 run to pad their lead to 16 points, 80-64, with 7:15 left.

Pack2Go then flaunted their balanced offensive game with five players scoring in double figures led by Faustino with 21, followed by Sanchez with 20, Kelly Montilla 14, Alfie Gesta 11 and de Jesus with 11 markers on top of his 10 rebounds and four block-shots.

“We started slow but our players’ tenacity was tremendous and we were able to buck our opponents with better ball movement and solid defence,” Nahaseer Naushad, owner and team manager of Pack2Go, told Sport360°.

Meanwhile, Trojans coach Jake Celocia said: “We played good offensively.

“But our defence did not work and unfortunately we collapsed in the second half.”
