League leaders Jazzville and Spearhead trounced their opponents on Friday to set up a final showdown at the Filipino Sports League (FSL) Season 1 on September 16 at the Sheikha Hind Bint Maktoum Al Maktoum Sports Hall in Jumeirah, Dubai.

Bracket-B top seed Jazzville carved out a convincing 78-67 victory over LSIS Warriors while Bracket-A leader Spearhead escaped with a 75-71 win against LBC.

Jazzville and LSIS Warriors exchanged leads in the first half with the latter enjoying a very slim one-point advantage, 40-39, before half time.

The momentum, however, shifted to Jazzville in the second half as ace dribbler Apil and Brix Falcon made their presence felt on the offensive end, scoring 23 of their team’s 39 points.

LSIS Warriors’ Cabanilla and Regalado did not help the team's cause with foul troubles and some sloppy defence. Jazzville took advantage of the situation which gave them several easy baskets.

“Offensively and defensively we played good. We’re fluid and we’re ready to win the championship on Friday,” Jazzville team captain Butchoy Dalumpines told Sport360°.

In another game, it was sweet revenge for Spearhead who previously lost to LBC at the close of the elimination rounds.

Bernard Macadangdang and Jomer de la Cruz of Spearhead scored crucial baskets in the second half to carry their team to a 75-71 win against LBC., who were frustrated by their opponents' trapping and solid man-to-man defence.

The hardworking Macadangdang led Spearhead with 24 points while dela Cruz and Releman contributed 13 and 10 markers respectively. Michael Gonzales led the unsuccessful campaign for LBC with 30 points.
